Abstract
Along with the promise to provide in the near future an annotated edition of the still unpublished Guillermo Pietro’s “San Lunes de Fidel” and the “Cuchicheo Semanario”, the author of this article delivers an interesting description about the finding of these publications on the newspaper La Colonia Española. A newspaper directed by the Spaniard Adolfo Llanos, in which he shows his skills to popular poetry and to create paintings and customs of Fidel. On these sections, Prieto narrates in a festive and ironic style, the various political, social and religious events of his time. The city, its people, customs and traditions, legends, theaters, parties and gossip: every Monday, people would look for Fidel to read the glories and miseries of the Capital.
