Abstract
The objective of this work is to show the principal authors of pictures of parks and urban gardens during the porfiriato, focusing in the kind of media used to publish and promote their images, thus, I study the uses given to photography by users, authors, and publishing companies. This is to understand the role of the images in the process of studying the historical time of the porfiriato.
