Abstract
In September 1910, Mexico celebrated his first independence centennial anniversary. Festivities were provided by general Porfirio Díaz’ government, supported by a wide activities program which included eloquent speeches, commemorative ceremonies of independence heroes, monuments inauguration, drain works, charity buildings, roads constructions, theaters, museums, playgrounds and public gardens, all of which took place in Mexico City and other parts of the republic. This article, as well as the images that integrate this supplement´s issue of the Bulletin are based on the author´s dvd entitled: Hemerographic material, journalistic articles of the centenary: public commemorative works in 1910.
