Abstract
From its origins the National Newspaper Archive of Mexico promoted several benefits on diffusion and conservation of the newspaper heritage it guards. Nevertheless, historical journals represent one of the biggest challenges faced on documental conservation. Other institutions have launch initiatives focus on applying massive systems for preservation and diffusion of intellectual content, setting all technological trends that served as guidelines of a unique conservation, diffusion and document query of the Digital National Newspaper archive of Mexico. Nowadays this project reach edits primal goal: going online. And now faces its next big challenge “digital preservation”.
