Abstract
This paper provides an overview on the historiography of the National Newspapers Library of Mexico, starting off the founding of the Newspapers and Magazines Department, in the choir of the former convent of San Agustín, and concluding in 2012, when the institution acquired a building to house its erliest collections, and digitalized part of its acquis for public display. Throughout these pages the reader will discover relevant dates and stories on the Newspaper Library, authors, titles, subjects and another historical data of this institution.
