Abstract
In the Internet era, the phenomena, facts and activities that arise all around the world produce vast information known as infodiversity. Inside this context, institutions such as the National Library have great importance in the recollection, organization and spreading of the national information. Immersed in a globalized world, information constantly flows turning the planet into a global village. At present, more than depending on machines as it happened in the Industrial Revolution, we depend on the information, which through the Internet lets us be in contact with an infinity of databases, library catalogs from all over the world, museums and other institutions that contribute to enrich our cultural, scientific and economic background. The information is turned then into an element that generates a fundamental wealth for the progress of nations.
