Abstract
True masters of engraving in any of its modalities (relief or press engraving —which is performed on wood, metal or stone—) left their impression on the rich Mexican tradition of this art in the 19th century. This work includes a list in alphabetical order of the Mexican engravers mentioned in the bibliography books, with the titles of the engravings made by each one, the book's title and the page number where it is mentioned. Names such as Miguel Pacheco, Sebastián C. Navalón, Luis G. Campa, Cayetano Ocampo, Manuel Manilla and, outstanding over all, José Guadalupe Posada, who is said to have produced more than fifteen thousand engraves, they all appear in this index of Mexican engravers of the 19th century.
