Abstract

This work analyzes incorporation of indigenisms to Mexican Spanish lexicon; especially regarding 18th century which characterizes for being a historical period with one of the largest additions of indigenisms from very different semantic fields. These were adapted and integrated themselves perfectly, and occasionally they also eliminated day a day use of Latin Spanish lexicon heritage. This lexical identity —primarily indigenous— continued disseminating along 19th century when the country officially reached his independence from Spain, thus producing dialectical roots of Mexican Spanish to its own identity.
