Abstract
During the 19th Century appears the new genre of adventure novels, and this is how different threads arise, which will become tied in 1900 to define the modern mystic of adventure. In this piece, the author begins by presenting the role that México plays within the creation of the adventure novel in France; afterwards he highlights this role in the definition of the new transformation of the adventurer that arises in 1850, and lastly he questions the causes which could explain this particular attention towards México in the middle of the 19th Century, before the French military intervention in 1862.
